The Melecios Story

Melecios Taqueria is the realization of Ms. Marimar and Mr. Lucio Melecio’s dream. Ms. Marimar and Mr. Lucio were born in a small town in Mexico at a young age Mr. Lucio showed his entrepreneur spirit when his father passed away. His mother worked long hours and he took responsibility over his younger siblings to cook for his family.He was in the stage of his life where he felt cooking would help him succeed and later on in 2000 Mr. Lucio moved to the United States and started working in a Mexican restaurant.

He was a dishwasher and hostess for six months and was later given the opportunity to work as a cook. When offered the position, he didn’t think twice about it because he saw this as an opportunity to be more successful. Working more than 10 years in a Mexican restaurant, he learned many aspects of the restaurant business.
